When Harley-Davidson launched the Pan America back in 2021, it caught plenty of riders by surprise. After all, this was a company better known for chrome-heavy cruisers than tall adventure bikes wearing wire wheels and bash plates.

Five years later, the Pan America platform has firmly established itself in the adventure touring world. And for 2026, Harley has unveiled the most advanced version yet: the new Pan America 1250 Limited.

The Limited isn’t a ground-up new bike, but it’s the most fully loaded Pan America Harley has built. New SW-Motech aluminium luggage comes fitted as standard, there’s fresh paint and graphics, and the Revolution Max 1250 motor has been given refined finishes for a sharper look. Underneath those updates sits everything that’s made the Pan America platform work, but now there’s more touring capability, more equipment, and more comfort than ever before.

And while most people still picture a Harley-Davidson blasting down Route 66 beneath endless blue skies, the Pan America 1250 Limited feels built for a different kind of adventure entirely. One that involves Alpine passes, battered B-roads, miserable weather, and the sort of long-distance riding that’s part and parcel of adventure motorcycling.

If there’s a Harley designed to take you further, faster, and in more comfort than ever before, this is it.

Big power, serious technology

At the heart of the Pan America 1250 Limited sits Harley-Davidson’s liquid-cooled 1,252cc Revolution Max V-twin engine producing 150bhp and 129Nm of torque.

The engine is loaded with modern rider technology, including selectable riding modes, cornering traction control, wheelie control, and a seamless Screamin’ Eagle Quickshifter designed to make covering big miles effortless. Whether you’re blasting along motorways or picking your way through mountain passes, the Pan America feels built for the job.

The chassis gets the same attention.

Electronically adjustable semi-active suspension is available front and rear, alongside Harley’s Adaptive Ride Height system, which automatically lowers the bike when stopping to improve confidence and accessibility at low speeds. It’s such a clever setup that plenty of other manufacturers have since followed Harley’s lead.

You also get linked braking with cornering ABS, tyre pressure monitoring, and hill hold control. On paper, Harley has built a bike that goes toe-to-toe with the established players in the adventure bike world.

Built for Adventure Touring

Straight out of the crate, the Pan America 1250 Limited is set up for life on the road.

A full SW-Motech luggage system comes fitted as standard, including panniers and a top box, offering 120 litres of lockable, waterproof storage with enough room for a full-face helmet and all the kit you’ll need for a few weeks away.

There’s a large adjustable screen for weather protection, knee pads on the tank for added grip when riding stood up, and substantial protection bars running around the engine and bodywork.

Underneath, a large aluminium bash plate protects the bike’s underside from impacts, while tubeless spoked wheels and dual-sport tyres complete the adventure-ready setup.

Lighting the way

Harley has also upgraded the lighting package on the 1250 Limited, with the bike’s distinctive headlight now featuring the company’s adaptive Daymaker system, which includes lean-sensitive cornering lights that illuminate bends as you turn into them. Auxiliary lights mounted lower down help throw even more light onto the dark roads and trails.

It’s an impressive setup that will be confidence-inspiring when the days get shorter, or you’re searching for a hotel in the middle of a remote Alpine valley.

Ready for adventure?

The Pan America 1250 Limited looks purpose-built for riders who want to load up, point the front wheel at the horizon, and see where the road leads. The only question is: where do you take it first?

Try the Pan America 1250 Limited at the ABR Festival

You’ll be able to test ride the new 2026 Pan America 1250 Limited at the ABR Festival at Ragley Hall this June (26-28th) as part of the Harley-Davidson Experience Tour. And here’s the thing, the ABR Festival is the only stop on the tour where you can actually take the bike off-road, putting it through its paces on dirt rather than just tarmac. If you want to see what the bike can really do, this is the place.

Test rides at the festival are booked on the day, so swing by the Harley-Davidson stand throughout the weekend, and they’ll sort you out.

If you can’t make it to Ragley, the Harley-Davidson Experience Tour runs throughout the riding season, visiting bike-friendly venues, events, and riding locations across the UK and Ireland. Booking is straightforward: pick your venue, choose the bike you want to ride, and book a timeslot. There’s no pressure and no obligation, just a free test ride with a ride guide.

And if you can’t wait for the tour to roll into town, Harley dealers across the UK and Ireland already have Pan America demo fleets ready to go. Book a free, no-obligation test ride at your nearest dealer here.
